MORE INFO IN FACTS:
The album was recorded from Konstantin Katsarski and Dimitar Paskalev in their own studio. Originally the music was written for unique quadraphonic concert held in April 1999 in Sofia NDK Hall 3. The audience was surrounded from 5 stages and the music came from everywhere in the space. There was no one direction, people started to walk around like an exhibition.
The philosophy of the album was influenced from the Zeitgeist movies. Bluba Lu were looking for words and sounds to support the idea that the world needs deep changes. This global message could be find in songs like “Mr. Architect”, “Monetary Slave” and “Dream Machine”. Some of the songs are devoted on our life time and the trace we are leaving behind us “30 000 Days”, “Time Over”. Another theme is the pure, unconditional love “Mirror”, “Pure Love”. With all the songs Bluba Lu are drawing the picture of the free human spirit and the sense of our epoch.
The album is double. The first CD – “QUADROTOPIA” was recorded with the intransitive great sound and technology from the 70-s. There was a rock band with drums, guitars and moogs, there was strings and brass orchestra and plenty of vocals. Not occasionally the master of this CD was made by the sound engineer of David Gilmour and Pink Floyd Andy Jackson. The second CD, “QUADROTOPIA- REMIXED” is the other face of the story. A famous Bulgarian DJ named Balkansky fired Konstantin to remix whole the album with some top modern producing technologies and tricks. The result: astonishing set of drum and bass, trip hop, dubstep, techno and even disco. A set for today and the future.
